Cricket association

UPCA

We created the registration portal for the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and we manage it. Players register for district cricket trials on it, and the same system runs registration for the association's UPT20 league. We also handled the technology for one of the association's talent hunt programmes.

What we built

What we built for UPCA

  1. Registration portal

Players register for district trials from their phone: sign up, find their district, upload documents and get their challan. Created and managed by us.

  2. UPT20 league registration

The same system takes registrations for the UPT20 league through season invites, with a photo and role for each player and reports for the organisers.

  3. Talent hunt technology

We took care of the technology side of one of the association's talent hunt programmes.

How it works

From a player's phone to the district office

For players

District trials

A player who wants to try out for their district can do almost all of it from a phone, then finish at the district association.

  1. Sign up

With a mobile number and a one-time password.

  2. Find your district

Enter your pincode and the portal shows which district association you register through.

  3. Fill in your details

The age category, from under-14 up to senior, is worked out from date of birth and gender, so nobody picks the wrong one.

  4. Verify and upload

Identity check through DigiLocker, then upload the documents asked for.

  5. Get your challan

Download the fee challan and pay online or at the district association.

  6. Verified by your district

The district association checks the documents. Once done, the player gets a registration ID by SMS and email.

For the league

UPT20 registration

The same system runs registration for the association's UPT20 league, so players do not start from scratch.

  1. Season invites

The association uploads the season's invite list as a spreadsheet, or sends invites by email. Each invite is for one season only.

  2. One account

Players already registered with their district carry on from the same account. No second profile.

  3. A form that is already filled

Details the system already has are filled in, so the player only adds what is new, like their playing role.

  4. Headshot for the auction

The player crops a photo on the page and it is resized for the players' auction.

  5. Reports for organisers

One list of everyone registered, downloadable as a spreadsheet, and all player photos as one named zip.
